Mencast has continued to
deliver good returns to
shareholders. Total
Shareholder Return (TSR)
since listing in 2008 is 172%
equivalent to an annual TSR of
28.7%. This is significantly
higher than STI’s average rise
of 6% over the same period.
GROSS DIVIDEND
YIELD
To reward shareholders,
the Board has recommended
an ordinary dividend of 1 cent.
This is equivalent to a gross
yield of 2.6% based on the
Company’s last transacted
price of $0.39 as at
31 December 2014.
Total Shareholder returns
Since listing on the SGX in 2008, Mencast has actively worked to build a
robust investor relations program to engage and communicate with
investors on a timely basis. This program is designed to allow investors to
understand our business and risk profile, and help achieve a fair
valuation.
Our investor relations program provides periodic updates on our
operations and business performance as well as reaching out to analysts
and investors to understand their questions and address these through
medium such as announcements, analyst meetings and conferences.
To give weight to the importance of stakeholder communications outlined
in the “Code of Corporate Governance” issued by the Monetary Authority
of Singapore, Mencast formed the “Corporate Strategy and
Communication Committee” chaired by one of our Independent Directors
and is overseen by the Board or Directors. Our corporate governance and
corporate communications initiatives were recognised at the 2013
Singapore Corporate Awards with our Board being conferred the
prestigious Gold Medal for “Best Managed Board” in our category of
companies below $300 million in market capitalisation.
In 2014, Mencast met over 150 fund managers and analysts at one on one
and group briefings. The Company provides access to senior
management such as our CEO and CFO at these meetings as well as site
tours to shareholders deep insight into our business and strategy.
Mencast also took part in selected investor conferences such as “Sector
Connect” and “Asean and Hongkong Corporate Day” organised by the
SGX and OSK-DMG respectively.
We do not practise selective dissemination to selected groups. All
information to be presented to fund managers/analysts are uploaded on
SGX Net / our website (
) simultaneously.
To allow market sensitive news to be incorporated into prices in an
orderly manner, such announcements are targeted for release outside of
market trading hours.
